GreenBlue’s Sustainable Packaging Coalition to Demo Sustainability Tools at PACK EXPO International, November 2-5, 2014

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA, November 2, 2014 /3BL Media/ – The Sustainable Packaging Coalition (SPC), a a project of environmental nonprofit GreenBlue, will feature a number of sustainability tools and resources at PACK EXPO International, November 2-5, 2014 in Chicago, Illinois. The SPC will be located in booth N-6201 in the North Building at McCormick Place.

The Sustainable Packaging Coalition is a membership group dedicated to a more robust environmental vision for packaging. The SPC brings together businesses, educational institutions, and government agencies to collectively broaden the understanding of packaging sustainability. Membership is comprised of leading companies and organizations across the packaging supply chain, from material manufacturers to converters to retailers and brand owners.

The SPC will demo its suite of packaging sustainability tools and resources, including How2Recycle, an on-package label program providing clear and concise recycling instructions to consumers; COMPASS, the Comparative Packaging Assessment, a streamlined life cycle assessment (LCA) tool for better packaging design; EPAT, the Environmental Paper Assessment Tool, designed to evaluate environmental performance data across the paper supply chain; the Sustainable Packaging Design Guide, and more.
