JustGreen "Green Your Ride" Campaign Launches at Six Flags Parks
Season-long Efforts Help to Raise Environmental Awareness at Six Flags!
HOUSTON, March 20, 2014 /3BL Media/ - JustGreen™ is excited to team up with Six Flags Entertainment to help raise awareness about “going green” in two of their theme parks – Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington, TX and Six Flags Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo, CA. The first ever “Green Your Ride” program kicked off March 1st and 2nd at both parks. The program engages guests of all ages and helps raise environmental awareness about sustainability. Thrills Have Never Been This Green!
For both parks, guests have an opportunity to vote for the ride they would like to “Green” this summer! Once the rides have been chosen by popular vote, guests will be able to contribute $2 to help “green” the ride and JustGreen will MATCH all contributions! All proceeds collected and matched this season will help to reduce the ride’s carbon footprint and will be invested in the equivalent amount of carbon credits from a green project, thus attempting to make the ride carbon neutral.
For every guest who contributes, as a thank you from JustGreen, they will receive a $15 savings sheet good for discounts on food, merchandise and attractions in the park. Additionally, guests received a free gift from JustGreen™ during Opening Weekend and March Into Spring Weekend, while supplies lasted.

From now until Earth Day, April 22, Six Flags Over Texas and Six Flags Discovery Kingdom will hold a vote to determine which theme park rides will go green with carbon offset purchases. Individuals who vote will also have a chance to win two 2014 Season Passes to the parks. The winning rides will be announced Saturday, April 26 during a special event in each park that will include giveaways and an exclusive ride time. All proceeds collected in the parks will go toward offsetting each ride’s carbon footprint for the entire season and guests will be updated on the progress with signage inside the park and on the website www.sixflags.com/JustGreen.
