WASHINGTON D.C., July 21, 2016 /3BL Media/ - The National Association for Environmental Management (NAEM) has released a new report that identifies the key strategies companies can use to optimize their selection of environmental, health and safety, and sustainability (EHS&S) software tools, the association announced today.

The latest report distills insights from corporate EHS&S leaders, software experts and implementation specialists into an easy-to-follow guide that explains how to structure and manage the selection process. The report also features 20 infographics that provide benchmarking data on spending, as well as advice on how to frame the business case, how to identify relevant stakeholders, how to structure the decision-process and how to segment a training program.

The 30-page report is available free of charge from NAEM’s website, thanks to the independent financial support from Dakota Software, Enablon, Intelex, Velocity EHS and UL.

NAEM Executive Director Carol Singer Neuvelt said the latest research reflects the association’s long-standing commitment to helping corporate leaders optimize software tools to drive environmental performance. The association’s annual EHS&S Software Conference, which started in 2001, is the premier event for those seeking new software solutions.

“Data management is an increasingly important focus area for EHS&S leaders today because the right metrics can help identify audit priorities, serve as an early indicator for safety issues and demonstrate tangible results from sustainability investments,” Ms. Neuvelt said. “This report was developed to help software buyers make better decisions about these valuable tools.”
