(3BL Media / theCSRfeed) Rye, NY - October 24, 2011 - In spite of the economy, 2/3 of America’s leading nonprofits engaged in cause marketing expect to form more business alliances in 2012, a survey by the Cause Marketing Forum reveals.

Of the nine past nonprofit winners of CMF’s highest honor, the Cause Marketing Golden Halo Award, 67% expect to be involved in more cause marketing campaigns in 2012, the CMF survey revealed.   Twenty-two percent expect to field the same number of corporate partner programs in 2012 that they did this year.   Only one of the nine Golden Halo winners – equating to 11% of the sample -- forecast a decrease.   "Keeping up with the torrent of new cause marketing programs can be a challenge,” said Cause Marketing Forum President David Hessekiel.   “That’s why CMF has launched Cause Update, a free subscription service that distributes news of the latest campaign launches to business, nonprofit and agency professionals,” Hessekiel announced.   Cause marketers can sign up for short email updates at www.causeupdate.com or follow the Twitter hashtag #causeup. As each new campaign is announced, a team of Cause Update analysts will issue short profiles with the critical data cause marketers need to benchmark their own efforts.   “Share Our Strength will be first in line to sign up for Cause Update – it’s a much needed service,” said Laura Goodman, the hunger group’s senior director, corporate partnerships.    The past honorees surveyed – who collectively generate hundreds of millions of dollars worth of cash and in-kind support from numerous corporate partners -- include the American Heart Association, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, DonorsChoose.org, Feeding America, First Book, KaBOOM!, Share Our Strength, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Susan G. Komen for the Cure.   For ten years, Cause Marketing Forum has helped companies and causes succeed together via conferences, online information, webinars and other services. To learn more, visit www.causemarketingforum.com   CMF18050
