P&G Sustainability Officer to Serve as Guest Judge for Huntsman 2012 CEO’s Award for Innovation in Sustainability

The Woodlands, TX, September 24, 2012 /3BL Media/ – Dr. Len Sauers, Vice President for Global Sustainability at The Procter & Gamble Company (P&G), will serve as guest judge for Huntsman Corporation’s 2012 Chief Executive’s Award for Innovation in Sustainability.

Dr. Sauers leads P&G’s overall sustainability program, where he is responsible for developing and ensuring that the company delivers its long-term sustainability vision and short-term goals.

“I firmly believe that all issues of sustainability will be solved by innovation,” Dr. Sauers said. “Those innovations will come from the employees of companies like Huntsman and P&G. Huntsman’s efforts to encourage and recognize such innovation is a great step toward solving the world’s problems.”

Dr. Sauers received his Ph.D. in the study of toxicology and is a diplomate of the American Board of Toxicology. Before his current assignment, Dr. Sauers held senior management positions with P&G in the areas of human and environmental toxicology, biotechnology, regulatory affairs and technical external relations.

The Huntsman Chief Executive’s Award for Innovation in Sustainability was established in 2010. This award is dedicated to recognizing the many ways Huntsman is changing the way it works and the products it is developing to make a sustainable long-term impact.

Focus for this year’s award is on the three pillars of sustainability: people, planet and profit. With the overall goal of recognizing and celebrating innovation in sustainability, Huntsman hopes to reinforce its importance throughout the Huntsman organization in order to promote continuous improvement.
