April 30, 2013 /3BL Media/ - Fibria Celulose, the world’s leading producer of market pulp, has issued its 2012 Sustainability Report, describing the company’s main achievements, challenges and strategy in the economic, financial, social, environmental and governance dimensions.

In an effort to bring together the disclosure of financial and non-financial data, the Report includes infographics portraying Fibria’s business model, incorporating and linking into the resources, activities, positive and negative impacts, materiality, main results and commitments. The structure of the Report is based on the company’s Materiality Matrix, derived from interviews with 85 internal and external stakeholders. The company’s accountability of its positive and negative impacts is complemented by external views, expressed in personal interviews with representatives of neighbouring communities and critical assessments of the Report by two sustainability experts.

The company’s GRI Report is independently verified by Bureau Veritas Certification, and applies the Global Reporting Initiative’s G3.1 guidelines at an A+ application level.
