Sigma-Aldrich® Named to CR Magazine’s 100 Best Corporate Citizens List

Company Jumps to Number Five Ranking

ST. LOUIS, April 20, 2015 /3BL Media/ - Sigma-Aldrich Corporation (Nasdaq: SIAL) was named today to Corporate Responsibility (CR) Magazine’s list of the 100 Best Corporate Citizens, which ranks public companies based on outstanding corporate responsibility performance. Sigma-Aldrich ranked fifth, its highest ranking to date, in its fourth appearance on the list.

This is the 16th year for the 100 Best List, which documents more than 300 data points of disclosure and performance measures - harvested from publicly available information in seven categories: environment, climate change, employee relations, human rights, governance, finance, and philanthropy and community support. The list ranks companies on the Russell 1000 Index and is governed by a Ratings and Rankings Committee of the Corporate Responsibility Officers Association (CROA).
