VolunteerMatch Recognizes Eight Companies and Organizations for Exemplary Volunteer Programs
SAN FRANCISCO, November 4, 2016 /3BL Media /-- Last week, VolunteerMatch, the web's largest volunteer engagement network, recognized eight companies and organizations for their transformational work related to volunteerism and cross-sector collaboration at an awards ceremony.
The awards ceremony took place on October 25, 2016 during VM Summit 16. VM Summit, VolunteerMatch’s annual conference on corporate volunteerism, brings nonprofits and companies together in the same room to elevate the conversation around cross-sector partnerships and volunteerism.

Here are the eight companies and organizations who were recognized at VM Summit 16, as well as a summary of each award given:
Employee Volunteer Program of the Year:
This award recognizes two companies that go above and beyond in encouraging employee volunteerism, as evidenced by high rates of engagement on the company’s employee volunteer management platform.

Nonprofit Volunteer Recruitment Program of the Year:
This award recognizes a nonprofit that excels at supporting volunteer recruitment at the local level, providing a range of volunteer opportunities including hands-on and skills-based volunteering, and leveraging the VolunteerMatch network in innovative ways.
2016 Winner: Girl Scouts
Top Community-Connected Companies and Organizations:
This award recognizes the companies and organizations that have made the most connections to volunteer opportunities via the VolunteerMatch Network.
