March 9, 2017 /3BL Media/ - Voya Financial, Inc. (NYSE: VOYA), announced today that Paul Zemsky, chief investment officer, Multi-Asset Strategies and Solutions at Voya Investment Management, has been appointed to the Board of Directors for Futures and Options, a nonprofit career development and paid internship program for New York City youth.

Of the nation's 20 largest cities, New York has the lowest percentage of working teens - with black and Hispanic youth among the least represented. Futures and Options fills a critical need, providing low-income, minority youth with the training and access they need to compete for jobs.

“Our Board of Directors plays a key role in helping Futures and Options reach the kids in NYC who most need and deserve opportunities, to be prepared for success when they enter the workforce,” said Executive Director Patty Machir. “Our Board welcomes corporate leaders like Paul. It is hugely important to have them on our team to help us pave the way forward in this worthwhile and much-needed endeavor.”

In his role as a CIO, Zemsky is responsible for overseeing the various multi-asset investment solutions available to clients through Voya’s Investment Management business. Under his leadership, multi-asset products and solutions are developed that allow Voya’s clients to plan, invest and protect their assets. Zemsky joined the company in 2005 as head of Derivative Strategies. He also serves on the board of Pomona Capital. He holds dual degrees in finance and electrical engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation.

“Voya Investment Management prides itself on a commitment to stewardship and service, and I am proud to carry on that tradition with my involvement on the Futures and Options board,” Zemsky said. “I am delighted and honored to be part of an organization that helps level the playing field for some of NYC’s most deserving kids.”
