Win a trip to London, England to present your Story : How has HINARI, AGORA or OARE impacted your work and the lives of those around you?

(3BL Media / theCSRfeed) April 7, 2011 - To celebrate the 10 year anniversary of the launch of HINARI and the beginnings of the Research4Life initiative, the Partners are looking for stories from you - the users-  to hear how  access to HINARI, AGORA; or OARE has impacted your work, life and community.  The Theme of the competition is: “ACCESS TO SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH LITERATURE —MAKING  A DIFFERENCE.” 

Present your ‘mini case study’, answering most of the following questions: 1)      Description of who you are, and role in your institution/medical unit/university. 2)      What was your institutional/research/medical situation before accessing the programme?   3)      How did you find out about HINARI/AGORA/OARE? 4)      How do you use HINARI/AGORA/OARE? 5)      How did HINARI/AGORA/OARE change the way you work or the way you do research? 6)      What were some of the outcomes of you being able to access HINARI, AGORA or OARE?   7)      Were there any vital discoveries/research found based on medical or scientific evidence obtained through using HINARI/AGORA/OARE? If so, how have they affected your own research or how  have you applied them in your job.    8)      Has HINARI/AGORA/OARE encouraged you to do your own research and contribute this research to the body of medical knowledge? If so please give details, outlining any challenges you have faced and any achievements of which you are proud. 9)      What kind of effect do you expect HINARI/AGORA/OARE to make on your research and the future of your work? 10) How has HINARI/AGORA/OARE impacted your community?   Send us your story in one or more of the following formats: -          Video (any digital format) -          Photos (JPEG- high resolution) -          Audio (podcast, mp3) -          Written (electronic)   ENTRIES CAN BE SUBMITTED IN ENGLISH, FRENCH OR SPANISH The winner will receive a trip to London, United Kingdom to present their story at the Research4Life Partners meeting, to be held in July 2011.   Deadline is 16 May 2011.  Send your entry via email to: communications@research4life.org .
