World Hunger Relief Named Finalist for Cause Marketing Halo Award

February 20, 2014 /3BL Media/ - Yum!'s World Hunger Relief campaign has reached finalist status in Cause Marketing Forum's 2014 Halo Awards. Yum! is one of four to advance in the best message-focused campaign category, recognizing businesses that use its resources to share a cause's message.

For the past 11 years, the Halo Awards have recognized North American businesses and nonprofits that "do well by doing good."

“Each year we receive a impressive number of submissions into the Halo Awards. Being named a finalist is a prestigious designation and demonstrates a level of accomplishment in campaigns that pay social and financial dividends,” said Cause Marketing Forum President David Hessekiel.

The finalists in the best message-focused campaign category are: 

  • Thumb Wars DoSomething.org & Toyota and Sprint
  • iHeart Radio Show Your Stripes Clear Channel Communications
  • 100 Wells for Ethiopia Pacific Dental Services' The Smile Generation & Charity: water
  • World Hunger Relief Yum! Brands & World Food Programme

A total of 18 category awards will be given out to programs judged the best cause marketing campaigns of 2013 at the 12th Annual Cause Marketing Forum Conference in Chicago on May 29, 2014.
