American Electric Power will spend $10 million dollars over the next three years on an ad campaign to get its customers in Ohio to reduce their energy use. The company’s new campaign, “Energy is Precious, Let’s Not Waste It,” offers a rebate to customers for buying Energy-Star certified clothes washers, refrigerators, freezers, dehumidifiers, and compact fluorescent light bulbs. The company will also pay customers for having their old appliances picked up and recycled.
