For Colorado Gives Day in December, Albertsons Companies’ Safeway Denver Division teamed up Skippy Peanut Butter to donate 3,000 jars of peanut butter to Volunteers of America. This donation will provide nearly 50,000 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to families in need.

Thanks to the generosity of customers, the Albertsons Companies Nourishing Neighbors community relief fund raised a record $9.3 million in its September campaign to provide healthy breakfasts for children in need across its market areas. The funds – raised at the register and directed to local organizations in each store’s community – will enable 37.5 million breakfasts throughout the country.
Nourishing Neighbors is a charitable program of the Albertsons Companies Foundation, which is working to eradicate hunger in America.

The Hopi Nation in Northeastern Arizona has been devastated by COVID-19. Water was desperately needed as many of their wells have dried up and some of their water supply contains arsenic. This means basic tasks like being able to wash their hands and get a clean drink of water become nearly impossible.
