October was National Arts and Humanities Month, a monthlong celebration of the role the arts and culture play in transforming Americas communities. To recognize the important role of the business community in advancing the arts, Americans for the Arts annually presents the BCA 10 awards celebrating ten businesses for their innovative partnerships with the arts. These businesses range in size and location but share a passion for engaging with the arts to advance their companies and communities.

Fox Audience Strategy Announces Ester Lou Weithers as the 2016 Fox Writers Intensive Fellow


Fox Audience Strategy has announced that writer Ester Lou Weithers is this year's Fox Writers Intensive (FWI) Fellow. Ester, who was selected from a group of 12 finalists announced earlier this year, has received a script development deal with FOX Broadcasting Company and 20th Century Fox Television. Since 2011, the FWI has nurtured experienced writers with diverse voices, backgrounds and life experiences and created a pipeline of well-rounded talent for potential staffing on FOX television shows, films and other Fox Entertainment projects.

Republic Services Kicks Off "Music Mania Mondays" in Niagara, New York

Republic Services took part in a ribbon cutting ceremony in June to kick off the Town of Niagara New York “Music Mania Mondays.” This stage is used throughout the summer for all twelve events of the summer concert series, including the recent 4th of July at the Memorial Community Park. Republic Services Division Manager Dave Grenier, worked alongside Town Supervisor Wallace to sponsor the Stage for Music Mania Mondays in the Town of Niagara. Republic hopes everyone in the Town of Niagara is enjoying a great summer of music.
