Today it announced that PepsiCo, Inc. has joined the Alliance to advance the shared goal of creating beverage containers with a significantly reduced carbon footprint.

Tetra Pak Gable Top Bio-based packages are made solely from renewable materials, defined as natural resources that can be replenished over time. The innovative new cartons are developed from a combination of paperboard and sugar cane derived plastics.

The package, together with Tetra Top with Separable Top, had earlier picked up WorldStar awards in the beverage category.
