BNSF Presents $3 Million Pledge to Support USO Employment Initiatives for Troops in Transition

The BNSF Railway Foundation has announced a $3 million pledge to the USO that will support USO hiring initiatives for active duty men and women transitioning out of the military. The donation represents a three-year commitment to the USO’s mission to support our nation’s military veterans. With its pledge, BNSF becomes the primary sponsor for the USO program.

Downtown Topeka Inc. Receives Boost With BNSF Railway Foundation Donation

The Downtown Topeka Inc. project to revitalize South Kansas Avenue in downtown Topeka, Kan., recently received a boost from the BNSF Railway Foundation.

Andy Williams, regional director, Public Affairs, presented the first check, which will be used to beautify South Kansas Avenue. The total donation will be paid over a three-year period. BNSF and the seven other sponsor companies will have input into amenities, pocket parks and other aesthetic improvements in the downtown Topeka area.
