During October, HanesBrands’ retail outlets in the United States and Puerto Rico are featuring eight company employees whose lives have been impacted by breast cancer in different ways
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C., October 1, 2019 /3BL Media/ – Some are survivors, some are warriors. Others are preventers, still others are supporters. But all eight of the HanesBrands employees “facing” breast cancer in the company’s national, in-store awareness campaign have been touched by the disease.

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, our A&D Design Director Royce Epstein shares her experience with breast cancer – and how she keeps moving forward. Her insight and outlook are an inspiration.
Last September, I had the honor of addressing the opening crowd at the Komen Philadelphia 3-Day Walk. I looked at my fellow breast cancer survivors and their family members from the stage and spoke humbly from the heart with a quiver in my voice. In May, I led the Komen Philadelphia Survivor’s Parade with two friends and other survivors, all who have recently battled breast cancer.
Employees at Mohawk Industries recently took part in their company-wide Pink Out to rally in support of Susan G. Komen. The annual event is part of the flooring manufacturer’s annual observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and took place at the corporate headquarters in Calhoun, Ga. Each year, employees come together to learn more about the company’s corporate partnership with the organization and receive updates on the latest initiatives and monetary amounts donated back to Susan G. Komen since 2001.
