New Program Supports Employee Ideas and Charitable Causes
Inspired by the success of Sappi’s Ideas that Matter program, the company launched a similar program in 2016 called Employee Ideas that Matter. The semi-annual program commits Sappi North America to donate a total of $25,000 to causes that are important to employees. Here are a few examples of the organizations that Sappi is honored to support through this program:

That’s why we’ve recently entered into a partnership to help raise funds and awareness for youth charity The Prince’s Trust. Through its Enterprise programme the charity works with 18-30 year old budding entrepreneurs to turn their ideas into a business reality by providing them with training, mentoring, funding and a variety of other resources.
Smart speakers have become one of the hottest products in consumer technology with experts predicting that 56.3 million will be sold worldwide this year. Recently, Amazon, one of the largest smart speaker manufacturers, introduced Alexa Donations with Amazon Pay, which allows users to donate directly to charities through an Alexa skill, or voice activated capability.
This year, The Wendy’s Company Annual Frosty 5K raised $110,000 for the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption.
The event was held on July 15 in Columbus, Ohio and had more than 800 participants. The race started and ended downtown at Huntington Park, home of the Columbus Clippers. Runners and walkers took the course through downtown, across the Scioto Mile and finished in the outfield of the minor-league stadium.
April 10, 2018 /3BL Media/ - AIDA presented three everyday heroines with a check of 10,000 euros each during three AIDAprima cruises between March 10 to 31, 2018. Bettina Landgrafe, Anja Gehlken and Sylke Hoß were recognized for their voluntary work and courage by Europe’s biggest women’s magazine at a gala held on AIDAprima last year.
During their cruises, the winners gave the AIDA audience deep and emotional insights into their activities and current projects during the daily talk show in the AIDA Theatrium.
