Aramark is helping provide solutions to these issues, with a series of Healthy For Life™ health and wellness programs that will teach children and adults how to grow and prepare fresh, nutritious food.

PHILADELPHIA, May 13, 2015 /3BL Media/ – Congreso today announced that it will increase breast and cervical cancer screening rates for women in high-need communities in Philadelphia through a $50,000 contribution from Aramark and the American Cancer Society. The funds will be used to conduct community outreach on the importance of breast and cervical screenings in the Congreso service area, where women have lower rates of screenings than elsewhere in the city.

According to estimates from the National Center for Health Statistics, more than 60 percent of U.S. adult women are overweight, and have a greater risk for heart disease, stroke, diabetes, high blood pressure and other health issues.
To help women focus on their health and lead healthier lives, Aramark employees recently joined other health care service providers for the Friendly Inn First Annual Women’s Health Expo “It’s All About You.”
Everyone is telling you you’ve got to do it. You’re hearing it at conferences, reading about it in articles, and being asked about it at office meetings. But when it comes to measuring your community investment and employee engagement activities, you might not know where to actually start.
I am excited and grateful for the opportunity to be included amongst a diverse group of professional givers to exchange thoughts on growing workplace giving. While each leader will surely bring individual experience and expertise representing corporations, vendors and/or cause organizations, there is no doubt that all have a collective, common interest in growing good together.
As many of us have already observed, it’s imperative that employee giving programs appeal specifically to Millennials – young adults in their 20s and early 30s who are becoming an increasing substantial part of our workforce.
How do you measure success of employee community involvement? Are the metrics changing?
I bet you’d be surprised to find out that your matching gifts program doesn't affect how happy your employees are with your company. I know it surprised me, when the analysis of our data came back not too long ago.
