Across the country, 2,700 City Year AmeriCorps members served in 242 high-need public schools. In Philadelphia, corps members served in 20 public schools as full-time tutors, mentors, and role models for students who face the greatest risk of dropping out.

Corporate Citizenship Leaders Meet in Los Angeles to Talk Adaptable Leadership in Increasingly Demanding Business Landscape


The 2014 International Corporate Citizenship Conference kicked off at the Beverly Hilton with an opening reception hosted by Altria. The space was abuzz with excitement from first-time attendees and conference veterans alike who were looking to share and learn from each other’s experiences and expertise. Networking commenced, connections were made, and rich conversation began in earnest among peers eager to talk corporate citizenship and today’s realities.

Sanofi Season of Solidarity

For the past couple of years, Sanofi, a diversified global healthcare leader, has engaged in a volunteer effort called Season of Solidarity. This past fall, a Season of Solidarity team from Sanofi’s U.S. headquarters in Bridgewater constructed and decorated picnic tables and wooden clocks that were recently donated to the Matheny Medical and Educational Center, to be used by its students and patients.

Finalists Selected in 2014 Corporate Citizenship Film Festival


With 66 companies submitting videos and more than 60,000 participants casting votes, this year’s film festival resulted in a frenzy of activity over the last few weeks. Now the voting has closed and the results are in.  The top ten videos are listed below. Each video is unique in its own right and touches on important issues within our communities. EDEN, Wis., Jan. 13, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Local CITGO Retailer Eden Corner Express donated more than $1,200 dollars to the Parent Teacher Organizations (PTOs) at Eden Elementary School and Campbellsport Elementary School. Throughout the month of October, the station held a "Penny Per Gallon" promotion where one cent from every gallon of gas pumped at the Eden Corner Express CITGO was pledged to help the schools. The funds were awarded at PTO meetings in November for each school.
