In 2009 Curvy Kate, a fuller-bust British lingerie brand, launched in the U.K. and the company executives were having a tough time finding a professional model that could represent the “flirty, fabulous, full-busted” brand image.  They decided to launch “Star in a Bra” and open its model search to amateur models who were naturally curvaceous women with a cup size of D or higher because the company wanted their lingerie models to be an inspiration to their customers.

Southwest Airlines is awarding a total of 1,600 nonprofit organizations whose work benefits the communities they serve.  Nonprofit organizations focused on community initiatives that concentrate on education, diversity, military, environment, and families facing serious illness had the chance to share their compelling story, along with a photo, to explain how 40 roundtrip tickets would help them achieve their missions in the community.

The first two sets of ten winners were announced on July 28 and August 2.  The final set of 10 winners will be announced on August 16.
