Emmy Award-winning actor Rachel Brosnahan teams up with Global Citizen and travels to the border of Peru to see what happens to children’s education during conflicts and natural disasters. After an emotional experience with displaced families, Brosnahan and Global Citizen return to the U.S., where they urge Ireland, the U.K. and the U.S. to pledge millions to Education Cannot Wait, a global fund for education during crises.
HP believes education is a human right, and technology can be the great equalizer. We are partnering with Education Cannot Wait, UNHCR and Learning Equality to bring tech-enabled learning to students in Uganda, including refugee learners, through a pilot initiative using HP School Cloud. HP School Cloud is a learning management system preloaded with content and curriculum, and a wireless router all built into one that students can access from any wifi-enabled device--without an Internet connection.
On the one-year anniversary of the World Humanitarian Summit, Global Citizen and HP joined forces, hosting the Educate Every Child, Everywhere event during the 70th annual Cannes Film Festival. The event brought together corporate partners, members of international press associations and global citizens, to spotlight the progress and dire need for education in emergencies, including through the Education Cannot Wait (ECW) fund.
