Enactus Lambton College has been named the 2019 Scotiabank Environmental Challenge National Champion by this country’s largest student leadership development organization, Enactus Canada, and proud program supporter Scotiabank. The national competition took place at the 2019 Enactus Canada National Exposition in Vancouver.
MISSISSAUGA, ON, March 14, 2018 /3BL Media/ – Working with local potters in Gujarat and Delhi India, Ryerson University students developed a reusable water filter using local materials that eliminates bacteria, organic compounds, and can filter 20 litres of water a day.
In northern food-insecure communities, students from the University of Ottawa are manufacturing commercial grade hydroponic systems housed in shipping containers enabling communities to grow their own food locally.

Meanwhile in Nunavut, students from the University of Ottawa launched Tower Gardens, an education program that empowers youth by fostering social entrepreneurship while addressing Northern Food Insecurity.

The largest ever Enactus World Cup took place in Beijing, China from 22 to 24 October. The event had 4,500 student, academic and business leaders in attendance.
The festivities were kicked off with the Culture Fair in which teams from the 34 attending countries interacted and celebrated their heritages. Then the event host, The Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFF) presented the My Dream, Our Dream Special Forum. The forum was live streamed and featured guest speakers and a musical performance.
