Energy ministers from the 27 member states of the European Union have asked the European Commission, the organization’s executive arm, to review programs for green fuel subsidies as it considers new targets for 2030. The ministers want the new energy savings goals to include guidance on investment and support that does not cause inefficiencies in cross-border trade of electricity.
