CINCINNATI, May 9, 2022 /3BL Media/ - Fifth Third today announced six new operational sustainability targets to be achieved by 2030. These targets build upon the Bank’s initial five goals set in 2017, which established the foundation for Fifth Third to reduce the environmental impact in its own operations. The 2017 goals were to purchase 100% renewable power and to reduce its energy use, greenhouse gas emissions, water use and waste sent to landfills by 2022.

CINCINNATI, May 3, 2022 /3BL Media/ – More than 19,000 employees at Fifth Third Bank, National Association, will celebrate Fifth Third Day by helping to provide 5.3 million meals in May to people facing food insecurity. The meals will be donated to various hunger relief organizations across the Bank’s 11-state retail footprint in honor of the companywide community celebration on May 3. The Bank recognizes that date, 5/3 on the calendar, as Fifth Third Day.
Fifth Third Bank is proud of the positive impact that its Finance Academy has on students’ lives. This school year, Fifth Third is awarding 28 high school students with a $2,500 college savings gift card as part of its annual Fifth Third Finance Academy scholarship contest at eligible schools. Finance Academy teaches foundation financial education and entrepreneurships at high schools throughout the Bank’s footprint, 50% of which are classified as low- and moderate-income.

As Women’s History Month comes to an end, Fifth Third Bank, N.A., the Harriet Beecher Stowe House and Cincinnati Parks are working together to dedicate and celebrate three new historic markers on the National Votes for Women Trail. The markers will be placed near Fifth Third’s headquarters, on Fountain Square, at the top of the Elsinore Steps near the Cincinnati Art Museum and in Walnut Hills in front of the Giminetti Baking Co. building, one block south of the Harriet Beecher Stowe House, which are all prominent locations in Cincinnati, OH.
