DALLAS, October 27, 2020 /3BL Media/ - EarthX is launching youth initiatives starting this fall — from environmental curriculums and virtual field trips, to eco-competitions and immersive experiences — with an aim to enrich and inspire the next generation of global citizens. Students and teachers are invited to explore resources and participate in activities designed to integrate with virtual education programs across the country.
In 2006, Patricia Henry was a high school senior working through a complicated mix of feelings about sex.
So when her school introduced her to a program called Reel Works—which recruits underserved teenagers and, via after-school, in-school and workforce programs, teaches them the filmmaking skills that can act as a precursor to a career in media—she found a creative outlet through which she could channel her curiosity.
As production began on the upcoming fifth season of “Empire,” FOX’s Golden Globe-nominated drama series following the Lyon family’s exploits in the hip-hop industry, the show welcomed some new additions to its crew behind the scenes. A group of interns from the CineCares Foundation, a Chicago nonprofit providing education initiatives, joined colleagues in the Props, Wardrobe, Electric, Construction and other departments for the first 12 weeks of the shoot.
