FORT WORTH, TEXAS, Sept. 2, 2014 /3BL Media/ - BNSF Railway, Norfolk Southern and GE Transportation are partnering to address sustainability in the rail industry. At the fourth annual Railroad Sustainability Symposium that begins today, sustainability and business leaders representing railroad operators, manufacturers, shippers and environmental stakeholders, including non-governmental organizations, will discuss ways to continue driving the industry toward a cleaner future.

Chrysler has been included on Latina Style magazine’s 2012 list of the “50 Best Companies for Hispanic Women to Work For in the U.S.” The list highlights companies that have a dedicated effort to diverse recruitment and promotion initiatives, including companies that have programs to recruit veterans and military personnel.

GE Transportation Announces $1.3 Million Contribution to United Way

Summary: 

GE Transportation has recently donated $1.3 million to United Way. The donation includes contributions from GE employees at the Lawrence Park plant and a match of 50% by the GE Foundation to the 2010 United Way campaign. There were fewer donors compared to the year before due to the decrease in staff, however the average per person donation increased. GE Transportation was acknowledged at the United Way Annual Meeting for having the largest workplace campaign increase (in total dollars) over the previous year. GE Transportation led all other Erie businesses with an increase of $60,000.
