Mohawk Donates to Camp Fire Rebuild Project

“The Camp Fire remains among the worst disasters in U.S. history. It is still a devastated area with many displaced still living in temporary housing. This Habitat project is a wonderful step to start addressing this,” Mohawk Group vice president of marketing Mary Beth Sharp told FCW. “We are honored to help CalFlor as they have been actively involved in the rebuild.”

ATLANTA, December 18, 2019 /3BL Media/– Wells Fargo & Company (NYSE: WFC) is teaming with Habitat for Humanity to help families stay in their homes and neighborhoods, and to champion advocacy work that helps people meet basic shelter needs, among other initiatives.

Wells Fargo has donated $10.7 million directly to local Habitat organizations across the country in 2019 to help build affordable housing. An additional $788,000 gift this year and $2.25 million from an earlier donation will support Habitat for Humanity International initiatives that:

Whirlpool Corporation Employees Make Trip to Lafayette, Indiana for Habitat Build

On August 14th, several Whirlpool Corporation employees went to Lafayette, Indiana to take part in a build for Habitat Humanity. The house will be the new home for a single mother and her son. One of the volunteers who worked on the project was Global Information Systems employee Rex Pennington.

“As soon as I saw this opportunity, I signed up for it because I really love Habitat,” said Pennington. “It’s an organization that’s near and dear to my heart. I like that it’s a “hand up” and not a “handout” philosophy.”
