SAN FRANCISCO, May 25, 2017 /3BL Media/ – Habitat for Humanity and Wells Fargo & Company (NYSE: WFC) today announced a new commitment to improve 100 homes with veterans in nearly 30 communities across the country from Seattle to South Palm Beach, Florida.

Launched in May during Military Appreciation Month with the support of a $300,000 grant from the Wells Fargo Housing Foundation, Wells Fargo volunteers will work alongside veterans on projects such as painting, landscaping and other improvements that support sustainable housing.

Before partnering with Habitat for Humanity Metro Denver, in Colorado, Tanya couldn’t see foresee her daughters’ future. Now she can. She doesn’t know the details, but she does know this: “Their future is bright.”

The family’s present is brighter, too. “The girls are doing well in school,” Tanya says. “We sleep better at night. We laugh more. We play more.”

Home is the Key to a Safe Place to Play for Jimmella


Living in a home safe enough for her children to play in the yard is something that Lanay and her family are still getting used to. It’s a good feeling.

“This is a new experience for all of us,” Lanay says. Her oldest daughter, Tomanique, 12, has been giving her new roller skates a test drive, and her brothers are learning to ride a bike and a scooter.

Home is the Key to Stability for Carlos and his Family


Neryann and Javier had long dreamed of someday having a stable place where their kids could make memories and relish their childhoods. They now have that place.

“I think having a house has helped them a lot — having space to do their homework and having stability,” Neryann says. “They like the kitchen, the living room, all of it. We all love it.”
