Today, Whirlpool Corporation announced it will continue its longtime relationship with Habitat for Humanity through 2018. This marks the 19th year the appliance manufacturer and nonprofit organization collaboration to support families in need of affordable housing, with Whirlpool Corporation committing to providing a new range and refrigerator for every new Habitat home built in the U.S. and Canada.
Over the past 18 years, Whirlpool has partnered with Habitat for Humanity, committing more than $101 million to programs in over 45 different countries. In the United States and Canada, Whirlpool has donated more than 184,000 ranges and refrigerators to new Habitat homes, serving more than 100,000 families, according to the Whirlpool Corporation website.
Wells Fargo has reached its goal to build and improve 1,000 homes by 2020 more than two years early, thanks to volunteers like Sammie Griffin.
If it wasn’t for Paul Manyok and his family, Sammie Griffin might not be as heavily involved with Habitat for Humanity as she is today. But, like many of Wells Fargo’s volunteer team members, she found there are certain families whose stories have stayed with her and who inspire her to continue helping others.
Company invests $250,000 and more than 75 employee volunteers to help make affordable homeownership possible for local families
DENVER, March 1, 2018 /3BL Media/ – Republic Services partnered with Habitat for Humanity last year to help build and revitalize neighborhoods in communities across the country, one of those communities being Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver’s Sheridan Square. The local partnership includes a powerful combination of volunteer hours and financial support to help build a total of 16 new homes and to develop a community park.
Whirlpool Corporation is celebrating the conclusion of its first-ever Global Habitat Build Project -- a project which engaged more than 200 Whirlpool Corporation employee volunteers in 14 Habitat for Humanity home build projects in eight countries. The project was coordinated to recognize the many contributions of the company’s former CEO, Jeff Fettig, who retired on October 31, 2017, and to celebrate the 17-year partnership between Habitat for Humanity International and Whirlpool Corporation.
