HIGHLANDS, N.J., November 5, 2013 /3BL Media/ – For the Highlands Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6902, the impact of Superstorm Sandy still lingers more than a year later. The post’s hall, located at 331 Bay Ave., sustained severe flood damage from the storm and continues to recover.

Travel Channel & the Not-So-Impossible Rebuilding After Hurricane Sandy


When Travel Channel’s Hotel Impossible team decided to take on an east coast hotel impacted by Hurricane Sandy a year ago, it was very personal. Hotel Impossible host Anthony Melchiorri’s Belle Harbor, Queens, neighborhood was one of the areas hardest hit. The neighborhood was home to many first responders who were out heroically helping others, while raging waters and fires were destroying their own homes.

Community is something near and dear to our hearts. One of our many fulfilling outreach partnerships is with the amazing people at N Street Village, which provides shelter, food and rehabilitation services to homeless women in the Northwest D.C. area.
