Houston Astros veteran catcher Brian McCann has been in the middle of plenty of on-field rallies during his 13-year Major League career, but perhaps the most important one he and his wife, Ashley, have been involved with is the Rally Foundation.

Carlos Correa, a former first overall draft pick, has been one of Major League Baseball's rising stars since joining the Houston Astros in 2015. He captured the American League Rookie of the Year Award that season, after making his debut at the tender age of 20. He turned 21 during his rookie campaign, when he became the youngest player in Major League Baseball history to hit a postseason home run, the second-youngest player to hit more than one home run in a playoff game and the following season he became the youngest player in Astros history to go deep on Opening Day.
Lance McCullers sometimes employs unorthodox training methods to keep it interesting. He’s been known to swing an axe in the backyard, or even do squats with his wife Kara on his shoulders.
Another way Kara and Lance support each other is in the passion they share for animal advocacy and protection. They have a rescue dog, a husky named Minka, and they’ve acted on their passion by creating the Lance McCullers Jr. Foundation to invest, bring awareness and develop programs aimed at advocating for stray and homeless animals across the country.

NEW YORK, September 21, 2016 /3BL Media/ - When floods ravaged the Houston, TX area this past spring, the Players Trust stepped to the plate with an $18,000 grant to help get two area Little Leagues back on the field. The grant funded the purchase and distribution of new equipment to ensure that 600 youth from West Oaks and Bear Creek Little Leagues would be able to take the field by the start of their fall season.

George Springer, outfielder for the Houston Astros, gave participants of his second annual bowling tournament plenty to talk about by raising awareness and money for children who stutter.
Springer, who has struggled with stuttering since he was a child, joined the Stuttering Association for the Young (SAY) as a spokesperson.
“Some people have blue eyes, some have blonde hair, and some people stutter,” Springer said on SAY.org. “I’ve never let it hold me back and with SAY, I want to help kids who stutter build the confidence they need to pursue their dreams.”
