During the event, including a surprise guest appearance, Blue Star Families and Disney VoluntEARS engaged military children and their families in art activities, including: making pirate swords, crowns and bookmarks.

More than 790 projects were fulfilled, benefitting more than 680 teachers and more than 83,690 students. We gave more than $532,000 in honor of Veterans Day.

Wells Fargo celebrates National Veteran Small Business Week, Veterans Day, Military Family Month

Time Warner Cable has teamed up with Operation Gratitude to create an in-house employee volunteer opportunity for our San Diego based employees. When considering nonprofit partners, Operation Gratitude was selected for the tremendous impact of the organization and for the wonderful cause they serve.
Legg Mason employees in two of our U.S. offices participated in the National Day of Service to honor the 14th anniversary of September 11th.
In our headquarters location, volunteers from eight corporations – BGE, CareFirst, Constellation, Legg Mason, T. Rowe Price, Under Armour, Wells Fargo and Transamerica – joined to work on projects in the Darley Park neighborhood of Baltimore City, an area in need of community resources.
One of our newest veteran recruits is Stewart Campbell whose more than 20 years in the Canadian Armed Forces prepared him well for a career at TransCanada.
Stewart Campbell joined the roster of Canadians being honoured in 2013 with the new Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for lifetime contributions, achievements or service to his country. In Campbell’s case, he earned medals on all three accounts.
