SAN FRANCISCO, April 30, 2019 /3BL Media/ - GLIDE is pleased to announce the annual eBay for Charity Auction for Power Lunch with Warren Buffett, which will run Sunday, May 26 through Friday, May 31, 2019. This year marks the 20th anniversary of the legendary auction, which to date has provided nearly $30 million to support GLIDE’s comprehensive suite of social services that help San Francisco’s most vulnerable residents.

“It opens up avenues that we had not envisioned,” said Melissa Wallace of Hops and Nuts, which manufactures the nuts.
Wallace founded the Greensboro-based company four years ago. It makes craft-flavored snacks that pair with beer and wine. With a new eBay program called Retail Revival, Wallace hopes to sell those snacks to consumers around the world.
The collaborative is an expansion of eBay’s 1L summer program, introduced in 2016 by the San Jose-based company’s senior director of compensation, benefits and equity compliance David Pilson and senior product and commercial counsel of global intellectual property Patricia Svilik.
Pilson joined eBay in 2014, his first in-house role in Silicon Valley.
Shawn Mendes will team up with eBay For Charity to raise funds for Grammy-related philanthropic causes.
Starting today, fans will have a chance to bid on Mendes’ VIP meet-and-greets at one of his upcoming concerts, with 100% of the proceeds benefiting the Grammy Museum and Musicares, the Recording Academy’s philanthropic arm which provides services and programs to members of the music community, including financial assistance for basic living expenses, medical expenses, and treatment for critical illnesses like HIV/AIDS and Parkinson’s disease.
Greensboro becomes the fifth city to join the Retail Revival Program, which partners with local businesses to grow and expand their reach.
