On February 18th, 2021, the Mars 2020 mission delivered the Perseverance rover safely to the planet’s surface. The world watched, albeit not exactly in real-time, as the rover entered the planet’s atmosphere, descended and finally landed.
Donation Ceremony in Support of Child Abuse Victims in Bucheon City
On Feb. 8, 2021, Save the Children Korea celebrated receiving a $25k USD grant from the ON Semiconductor Foundation at the Joongbu Branch of Save the Children in Bucheon City. The grant supports children affected by abuse.

According to the World Health Organization, an estimated one in 10 babies, or 50 million worldwide, are born prematurely every year before 37 weeks of pregnancy are completed. These babies face a higher risk of complications and lower rates of survival, thus requiring optimal use of technology and specialized care to make it past the difficult first days and weeks of their lives.
The partnership aims to fulfill children’s rights to access water, clean toilets amid pandemic
Children in the remote town of Villareal in Samar face severe malnutrition and are at risk of being infected with life-threatening diseases, including COVID-19, amid difficulties in getting access to clean water and toilets.
To help address the problem, the ON Semiconductor Foundation awarded $30,612 USD (approximately 1.5-million PHP) to Save the Children Philippines to provide access to potable water and clean toilets to around 500 children and their families in the next eight months.
