A brand’s logo is a critical piece of a company’s visual ID. As you can imagine, building a brand is no small feat - advertisers, team members, agency partners and more pore over concepts. Books, papers and courses are dedicated to the art of making a memorable logo. And if you want to make changes to a logo, it typically takes months if not years – and for good reason.

Why, then, did we, Wendy’s®, remove the well-known pigtailed girl (or as we call it, the cameo) from our cup?

The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption thanks The Wendy’s Company for hosting National Adoption Night, tonight May 8, at their stores across the United States. This fun, inspirational night allows Wendy’s customers to learn more about foster care adoption, while enjoying a delicious fresh, never frozen meal at their local Wendy’s.

The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption could not be more grateful that on this night, Wendy’s will donate 15% of dinner proceeds to the Foundation to help further the mission to dramatically increase the number of adoptions from foster care.

Mark Your Calendar: Dinner at Wendy’s on November 14!

Imagine if helping children in foster care was as easy as eating dinner at Wendy’s®.

Well, good news! It is!

On Tuesday, November 14 between the hours of 5:00 pm and 8:00 pm, 15% of restaurant sales from customers who visit a participating Wendy’s restaurant for dinner will be donated to the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption® in recognition of National Adoption Month. These funds will support the DTFA’s continued efforts to find forever homes for children waiting in foster care.
