The $100,000 relief fund provides utility assistance for more than 40 Comerica Hatch Detroit Contest alumni businesses that have opened since the inaugural contest in 2011.

The investment will be leveraged ten times for direct lending in low-income and distressed communities. Comerica Bank, the largest bank in Texas, also has retail operations in California, Arizona, Florida, and Michigan. This is Comerica Bank’s second equity investment in Clearinghouse CDFI.
