Save water on World Oceans Day with this Green Guide Tip of the Week - turn off the faucet! Conserve this precious resource, water, as much as possible by shutting off the faucet when you brush your teeth, shave, even lather up. You can save gallons of water by doing so. One of my tips additionally is to plant native plants in your backyard or wherever you find an area to plant something. Make sure it's native which requires often a lot less water. Even Al Roker has a tip to conserving this precious resource. Hey Al! Turn off the faucet when you're brushing your teeth and you'll save gallons of water over a period of a year.

For the past two weeks a Goldfish named Kai has been living on Facebook in an aquarium-sized garbage patch filled with plastic bottles, caps and toothbrushes. Filmed 24/7 Kai brings a massive global issue right to our computer screens.
