Save the Children Partners with the ON Semiconductor Foundation

The partnership aims to fulfill children’s rights to access water, clean toilets amid pandemic

Children in the remote town of Villareal in Samar face severe malnutrition and are at risk of being infected with life-threatening diseases, including COVID-19, amid difficulties in getting access to clean water and toilets.

To help address the problem, the ON Semiconductor Foundation awarded $30,612 USD (approximately 1.5-million PHP) to Save the Children Philippines to provide access to potable water and clean toilets to around 500 children and their families in the next eight months.

ON Semiconductor employees based in Germany are regular supporters of the Munich charity Salberghaus. It provides a wide range of inpatient, semi-inpatient and outpatient services, as well as in day-care centers for children between the ages of two weeks and 10 years, and their families. In addition, Salberghaus also helps these families with other child needs such as diapers, care products, etc. Currently, there are 65 children living at its facility.

Senior Activity Center Receives Grant for their Nutrition Program from ON Semiconductor Foundation

The Senior Activity Center in Pocatello, Idaho is an organization committed to providing nutritional meals to seniors older than the age of 60. They announced that they have been awarded a $10,000 grant from the ON Semiconductor Foundation. The grant will be used to purchase food for the center’s nutrition program.

The Senior Activity Center’s mission is to provide a daily nutritional meal and support socialization, physical and cognitive activities that will serve the community’s senior population.
