PepsiCo Program Brings in 160 Million Recycled Containers

Recycle Rally awards total of $110,000 to winning schools that collected the most beverage containers.

PepsiCo’s 2017-2018 Recycle Rally program encouraged participating schools to start recycling, bringing in more than 160 million recycled beverage containers from the 4,000 schools enrolled in the program.

David Culbreth and Paul Perea have never met - but their rivalry is as fierce, passionate, and maybe a little crazy as two teams battling for a championship.

Culbreth is principal at Fayetteville, N.C.’s Pine Forest High School, the winner of the 2016-2017 Recycle Rally.

Perea helped lead the effort at Maverick Elementary School in San Antonio, Texas.

PepsiCo and The Nature Conservancy Partner to Increase Recycling and Protect Drinking Water

PepsiCo is addressing both curbside and on-the-go recycling as part of its goal to help grow the U.S. beverage container recycling rate to 50 percent by 2018.

PepsiCo and The Nature Conservancy—the world’s largest conservation organization by revenue—are joining forces to help encourage consumers to recycle more often to help protect drinking water sources throughout the United States.
