SAP is Recognized on The Civic 50


SAP has been recognized today as one of America’s most community minded companies in The Civic 50, an annual initiative that identifies and recognizes companies for their commitment to improve the quality of life in the communities where they do business. Points of Light, the largest organization in the world dedicated to volunteer service conducted the survey in partnership with Bloomberg LP. All companies with $1 billion in revenue or more are invited to apply for the Civic 50.

South Africa: First Lego League Launched


In its ninth year of supporting the FIRST LEGO League in South Africa, SAP has pledged R1.4 million (about 125,000 USD) in sponsorship of the competitive robotics event, which supports STEM education for young South Africans.

SAP Offers Perspectives on Investing in Sustainable Development at United Nations


Last week, I had the honor of speaking at the World Investment Forum, organized by the United Nations and hosted at the UN Palais de Nations in Geneva. The central theme for this gathering that brought together government and business leaders from over 150 countries was "Investing in Sustainable Development". The Sustainable Development Goals, or SDGs as they are known, is a set of 17 proposed goals, which together reflect the UN's plan for ensuring the world is on a sustainable path by the year 2030 from economic, social, and environmental perspectives.
