As millions of Indian citizens continue to struggle with poor access to clean drinking water, 21st Century Fox’s National Geographic has teamed with Water Aid India and top talent from Bollywood to launch Mission Blue, a new initiative to raise awareness of water scarcity and drive conservation.

In 2013, CSX joined forces with Action for Healthy Kids (AFHK), a nationwide nonprofit mobilizing school professionals, families and communities to take steps towards sound nutrition and physical activity. Since then, CSX has helped more than 1,300 schools across the country implement health and wellness initiatives that get students – and teachers and parents – moving outdoors and indoors and eating healthfully.
Every year, about 13 percent of the nation’s 3.4 million teachers transfer to different schools or leave the profession altogether, according to the Alliance for Excellence in Education in collaboration with the New Teacher Center. It’s estimated that over 1 million teachers move in and out of schools annually, with 40 to 50 percent of teachers quitting within five years.

For the second year in a row, AT&T Aspire is teaming up with the Imagination Foundation to invite students of all ages, from pre-k-to high school, to make something amazing — using whatever tools are available — that addresses a specific problem or need in their community.
"School sanitation is very critical to Swachh Bharat (Clean India) for many reasons," Mr Parameswaran Iyer, Secretary of the Drinking Water and Sanitation Ministry, told The Straits Times. "We want to make sure kids practise safe hygiene and use toilets. Apart from that, they influence their parents. They are the change agents."
He added that private corporations are contributing in different ways. "Many are also working on their own or working directly with state governments," he said.
