Chevron’s lost hills oil field is being powered with 1.4 billion kilowatt-hours of green energy
Today’s energy landscape continues to rely on fossil fuels to power the world forward, but partnership and innovation are helping Chevron to develop more energy with less environmental impact. Renewable energy agreement is projected to cover 21 sites in Illinois
BENTONVILLE, Ark., SAN JOSE, Calif., October 23, 2018 /3BL Media/ – Today, Walmart announced that it has reached an agreement with SunPower to have the commercial energy provider install solar systems at 19 stores and two distribution centers in Illinois.
All solar produces clean energy, but SunPower doesn't stop there. We raise the bar of sustainability through our "beneficial by design" philosophy that aims to be a regenerative force on the environment and society. Driven by this philosophy, Light on Land™ is SunPower’s signature program for solar power plant development where we build on disturbed lands, restore native habitats, minimize disruptions, and act as good neighbors to the surrounding community.
SunPower exists to help change the way our world is powered and leave the planet better off for future generations. That’s our purpose. It’s why we’re here. So when you choose SunPower, every day is Earth Day and not just because your home or business is making clean renewable energy using our solar panels. It’s because as a company, we go above and beyond what’s required of us when it comes to sustainable business practices, holding ourselves to higher standards for environmental stewardship and social responsibility.
