Two years later, in July 2018, Exxon ceased funding ALEC, the climate change denying organization I highlighted.

They are much like consumers in all categories, three quarters of whom are more likely to buy a product or service if the organization behind it is committed to sustainable practices. Putnam County Hospital in Greencastle, Ind., made extensive energy efficiency upgrades last year and earned $114,263 in incentives from Duke Energy. In addition, the hospital reaps the benefits of its investment each month when it pays less for energy.
