The Walmart Foundation continues its support of female veterans with a $250,000 grant to the Women Veterans Network
Bentonville, AK, May 22, 2018 /3BL Media/ – Today, Walmart announced it has hired more than 200,000 veterans and promoted more than 28,000 to roles of greater responsibility since launching its Veterans Welcome Home Commitment five years ago. Recognizing the important skills and leadership abilities veterans possess, the commitment helps veterans find career opportunities at Walmart and aims to ease the sometimes difficult transition from active duty to civilian life. Walmart is now more than 80 percent of the way to reaching its goal of hiring 250,000 veterans by 2020.
Walmart, Feeding America and Nextdoor are working to inspire discussions on hunger

In April 2014, PepsiCo and the PepsiCo Foundation were proud to join Walmart and the Walmart Foundation, along with 15 other leading companies, in announcing plans to launch a recycling initiative called the Closed Loop Fund, which is intended to increase the availability of recycling throughout the U.S. The Fund plans to invest $100 million in recycling infrastructure projects and increase private and public funding to transform the U.S. recycling system.
