Remembering Our Veterans

By: Jim Murren, Chairman and CEO of MGM Resorts International

I recently had the opportunity to visit the site in Maryland of the U.S. Civil War’s heaviest one-day battle. The Battle of Antietam was a turning point in so many ways for our, at the time, young nation. How You Can Help Greenlight a Vet

It’s easy to recognize the men and women serving our country when they’re in uniform. But when they return home, how we show them the appreciation they deserve becomes a lot less clear.

Last year, many of us turned on a green light to honor and recognize those who sacrificed so much for America. With Veterans Day upon us, let’s reignite them once again. In addition to the green porch lights that dotted neighborhoods across the country in 2015, others participated in a number of ways. saw more than 3 million online acts of support, and landmarks turned green across the U.S.
