NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark., November 9, 2016 /3BL Media/ – A grant from the Baxter International Foundation will help provide assessments, education, and a resource to veterans while teaching veteran family members and first responders how to identify and manage the mental and behavioral health issues faced by many veterans. The one-year more than $50,000 grant to ARVets will fund the Bridge to Care program that delivers mental health care coordination to veterans and their families living in northern Arkansas.
Recognizing the benefits of a diverse workforce, Norfolk Southern has established employee Diversity and Inclusion Councils in each of its 10 operating divisions. These grassroots councils promote a respectful workplace, contribute to business goals, and maximize employee potential. By the end of 2015, more than 200 employees were serving on the councils.

More than 1,500 Lockheed Martin volunteers renovate Orlando VA Medical Center’s Lake Baldwin Outpatient Clinic
ORLANDO, Fla., Oct. 26, 2016 /3BL Media/ – The Orlando VA Medical Center’s Lake Baldwin Outpatient Clinic received a makeover by more than 1,500 Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) employees, family members and friends as part of the company’s annual Day of Caring. The record-setting number of Lockheed Martin volunteers completed more than 80 projects in an effort to revitalize the facility’s grounds.
To honor those lost 15 years ago in the 9/11 terrorist attacks and reflect on the service and sacrifice of those who responded to the attacks, more than 400 Booz Allen employees volunteered in cities across the country as part of a firmwide Day of Service and Remembrance.

On August 2, 2016, Cisco launched the Veteran Talent Incubation Program (VTIP) at its Research Triangle Park (RTP) campus in North Carolina. Twelve veterans from area military bases are participating in the program, which spawned from a discussion between Erika Plant and TAC Managers (Chris Phillips, Charles Armstrong and Chris Myers) when they volunteered at a Cisco IT Awareness Day in February 2016 at Fort Bragg.
