U.S. Veterans Magazine Names Sodexo a Top Veteran-Friendly Company and Top Supplier Diversity Program
GAITHERSBURG, Md., August 16, 2018 /3BL Media/ – Sodexo, a food services and facilities management company committed to improving Quality of Life, announced today that it has been recognized by U.S. Veterans Magazine (USVM) in the 2018 Summer Best of the Best List as a Top Veteran-Friendly Company and for having a Top Supplier Diversity Program.
The U.S. military has long understood the importance of how science, engineering, technology and math (STEM) play in any successful mission. Members of the military are skilled in STEM, and companies are taking note by recognizing the invaluable skills that military veterans bring to these professions.

America’s military conflicts of the past decade affected veterans, active duty service members and their families alike. Multiple deployments, frequent moves and long periods of separation can present many challenges and opportunities for military families. So this Veterans Day, as we honor and thank those who have given so much for our country and our freedoms, we also commend the spouses, parents, children, siblings, grandparents and significant others who provide support and structure to their loved ones throughout their times of service.
Led by Cisco’s Veterans Enablement and Troop Support ERO, four sites — San Jose, Ohio, Herndon and Research Triangle Park — held Cisco’s annual Memorial Care Package Drive in honor of Major John D. Gerrie, United States Air Force (USAF).
Legg Mason employees in two of our U.S. offices participated in the National Day of Service to honor the 14th anniversary of September 11th.
In our headquarters location, volunteers from eight corporations – BGE, CareFirst, Constellation, Legg Mason, T. Rowe Price, Under Armour, Wells Fargo and Transamerica – joined to work on projects in the Darley Park neighborhood of Baltimore City, an area in need of community resources.
Today, I join my family, my Marine family, and my AT&T family to send a very important message to those who have served our country in the military: thank you for your dedication, courage and sacrifice.
