A Day at the State Fair: Kaiser Permanente Gives Families in Need a Day of Fun

More than 170 underprivileged and at-risk children were treated to a fun day at the fair on July 26, 2012, thanks to Kaiser Permanente. Through our Community Benefit program, Kaiser Permanente in the Greater Sacramento Region supports more than 50 agencies. In addition to grant funding, KP supports the community by extending opportunities that are beneficial to the clients served by these agencies -- fun and unique opportunities like attending the State Fair.

New TV Soap Opera Empowers Mexican Women

Ponle Corazon!, a new televisions soap opera to empower women launched during a five-day partner workshop in Rancho Santa Lucia, Mexico.

More than 30 participants - all received personal invitations from the First Lady of Chiapas - actively engaged during the workshop during which the program’s framework - the values grid - was produced, main characters defined and a central storyline created to encompass all the issues the drama will address.
