December 16, 2015 /3BL Media/ - The World Environment Center’s (WEC) Board of Directors today announced a new slate of officers and members to lead and strengthen this global non-profit organization for 2016 and beyond. Appointed as the new Chairman is Francisco Suárez Hernández, Corporate Affairs Officer of Coca-Cola FEMSA, based in Mexico City. Mr. Suárez is WEC’s first Chairman from Latin America. He will lead the Board’s efforts to assess and implement a new strategic plan and expand membership development and related initiatives in this and other regions.

The award will be presented to CH2M Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Jacqueline Hinman on May 19, 2016 at the 32nd Annual WEC Gold Medal Gala in Washington, D.C. The Gold Medal Gala will be followed on May 20, 2016 by the WEC Gold Medal Colloquium.
October 14, 2015 /3BL Media/ - The World Environment Center (WEC) announced today the successful completion of a U.S. Department of State funded project to expand the sustainable development commitments of Moroccan businesses by Improving operating costs, reducing materials, energy and water consumptions, and minimizing solid waste, wastewater and e air emissions. WEC has partnered with the Casablanca-based firm RIO (Reduce-Invent-Optimize) to implement the local activities and provide advanced technical expertise for the project.
