As part of its ongoing efforts to engage sports fans of all ages in the U.S., FOX Sports has announced a new partnership with the American Youth Soccer Organization, a national nonprofit providing youth soccer programs that aim to enrich children's lives. The agreement names FOX Sports as the premier sponsor of AYSO for the next five years and as Presenting Partner of the organization's 50th anniversary campaign.
The Women's Sports Foundation, a leading nonprofit dedicated to ensuring girls access to sports, hosted its 35th Annual Salute to Women in Sports on Wednesday, October 15th, in New York City. FOX Sports was a leading sponsor of the event, which celebrates both the best in women's sports and the young girls around the world whom these athletes inspire. Gatorade, espnW, and NBC Sports Group were also co-presenters.
As part of its commitment to expanding access to sports in India, STAR Sports recently organized an extensive on-air campaign to raise funds for the young women of the YUWA youth football team. The campaign gathered nearly $50,000 in donations, enough for Team YUWA to travel to Minnesota for this summer's Schwan USA Cup, one of world's largest international soccer tournaments.
